Designing Blueprint of the Prototype

After defining the problem statement ( Design Thinking- Stage 2) and engaging in brainstorming ideas for the prototype ( Design Thinking- Stage 3), the students made blueprint for the prototype they want to make for disaster management in the selcted disaster prone areas.

Design Thinking Stage 1-Creating an empathy map

The students read different case studies on natural disasters. They shared their feelings empathizing with the people who faced those natural disasters. Later they created an empathy map based on the conversations they had with their peers.

Guest Session by Col.Ganesh, Director of Administration IISH ( Disaster Management in School)

 This was an informative session wherein students learnt what they should do and what they should not do during the disaster situation. They also learnt about several disaster management techniques.

Guest session by Ms.Raksha and Ms.Pushpita

During this session, Ms.Raksha and Ms.Pushpita shared their personal experiences of being impacted by some natural disasters. The students learnt that one should not get panic in such situations and be prepared to face the natural disasters by learning appropriate disaster management techniques.
