Like and Unlike decimals

The students were given decimal cards and were asked to sort the cards as per their understanding. They were introduced to like and unlike decimals through this activity.  They also learnt how unlike decimals are changed to like decimals and lined up to add and subtract.

The students then worked in teams on the given task question that involved addition and subtraction of decimals. They applied their understanding of like and unlike decimals and the conversion of unlike decimals to like decimals , to complete the task question and find out the solution.
