FractionWar

In this activity, the students took turns playing "war" using a deck of cards and a pencil to act as the fraction line. The pair of students decided who the larger fraction has based on the four cards played. The winner got to keep all the cards. Player with most cards at end won the game. The goal of this learning engagement was to develop quick comparison of fractions using the strategies learnt for comparing like and unlike fractions as well as fractions that have same numerators.
